Mr. Richard James Swaim, “Ricky”, 60, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Ricky was born in Forsyth County to James Richard Swaim and Barbara Tilley Swaim on February 14, 1959. He was a very kind and loving person and had a great personality. He was a good father that loved his children and grandchildren. Ricky was always there for his family, and the life of the party with his wonderful sense of humor. He also loved being outdoors and playing horseshoes. He was preceded in death by this father, aunts, Marie Yeatts and Rebecca Moore. He is survived by his wife, Linda Swaim; daughters, Christy Tongogara and Crystal Swaim; son, Richard James Swaim; grandchildren, Dante and Kiara Tongogara, Abigail Swaim; mother, Barbara S. Harmon; sister, Michelle Thomas; Uncle, James Yeatts, who was like a father to him; aunts Brenda Calhoun, Peggy Wilkins and Doris Aboukahims. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Silas Creek. No formal services are scheduled.
