Ralph’s Obituary Ralph W. Ascher, Sr., 59, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was the beloved fiance of Melanie Gutierrez. Born in Norristown in 1960, he was a son of Martha K. (nee Hlastan) & the late Wilhelm “Willi” Ascher. Ralph was employed with Safeguard Business Systems as a graphic artist for 41 years. Outside of work, he enjoyed finding collectibles, music, Volkswagens, and loving his “step-dogs.” He is remembered for his creative and artistic nature and his philosophical and accepting approach to life. He will be missed. Surviving Ralph, in addition to his mother and fiancee, are his children, Ralph Ascher, Jr., Mindy Blackwell, Katie Alderfer; 6 grandchildren; his sister, Marion Ascher; and his brothers, Bernd Ascher, Mark Ascher, and Hans Ascher. Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, May 11, after 2:00 p.m. in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, and are invited to attend his memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
