On a gorgeous autumn day, the Roseboro Family, received a blessing with the birth of a beautiful daughter, Delores Ann Roseboro Medley. “Cookie”, as she was affectionately known, was born November 15, 1949 in Cherokee County, North Carolina. Her parents, Hattie Sadler Roseboro and the late Paul Roseboro, were proud parents. “Cookie” had a heart of gold, warmed by sunshine, filled with love and happiness. Saturday, April 27, 2019 Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called “Cookie” to her Eternal Home. Words cannot begin to express our profound loss, but we are filled with joy to have shared her life. She was educated in the Stanly County public schools, and graduated from North Stanly High School, New London, North Carolina, Class of 1968. “Cookie” furthered her education at Christian College and received an Associate Degree. She studied at Rhema Bible Training Center, More Than Conquers Bible School in Charlotte, NC and Life Christian University Training To Reign in Albemarle, NC. She retired from the Albemarle Correctional Institution, Albemarle, North Carolina. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Personal Savior and began her work in the vineyards preaching and teaching the ways of Our Lord. A devoted and dedicated member of Spirit & Truth United Church of Worship, “Cookie” served as Assistant Pastor and was Overseer of the Call to Pray Intercessors Ministry. Never idle, always involved, she was president of the AGLOW International Organization, counselor for people worldwide, Missionary leader at First Baptist Church, Badin, North Carolina, former Sunshine Band leader, and choir member at First Baptist Church, Badin. Serving and working for the Lord was her passion. Delores wrote and had her first book published “Love’s Aim” in 2018 and was in the process of writing her second book. “Cookie” was married to Ronnie J. Medley for over fifty years. They were devoted parents to their sons: Kelley, Alan, and Justin and their Godson, Tarvio. Her father, Paul; sister, Gwendolyn Roseboro and brother, Michael Roseboro preceded her in death. Her legacy of love and devotion to family and friends will forever be treasured by her husband, Ronnie J. Medley, Badin, North Carolina; sons: Kelley (Tasha) Medley, Mt.
