Oscar Antonio Villarreal, 66, of Brownsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in San Benito. Oscar Antonio Villarreal was born Brownsville, TX to Mary Elizabeth Sosa and Oscar Antonio Villarreal Solis on July 13, 1952. He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Antonio Villarreal Solis; brother, Salvador Alberto Villarreal; nephew, Salvador Alberto Villarreal, Jr. Oscar Antonio Villarreal is survived by his daughter, Laura Melissa Wendel; son, Oscar Daniel Villarreal; former spouse, Alma Villarreal; mother, Mary Elizabeth Sosa Gonzalez, brother, Richard Anthony Riggs; 3 grandchildren, Gauge Wendel, Logan Wendel, and Donovan Wendel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm on Monday, May 27. 2019, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. All services will conclude at the end of visitation. Cremation to follow on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Burial of cremains will be held at 10 am on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Buena Vista Burial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 E. Jackson St. Brownsville, TX. (956) 542-5511.
