Obituary of Nancy L. Slatterly Nancy L. Slattery, 69, of Rome, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 peacefully at home. Born in Hartford, CT, on November 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Josephine (DeLoreto) Slatterly. She was a graduate of Manchester (CT) High School and on April 2, 1977 she was united in marriage to David Patnode. Nancy worked at Planned Parenthood and later went on to work at Rome Ford. Surviving besides her loving husband, David, is a daughter, Dawn Puleo; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Diane Foley; a sister, Joanne LaChapelle; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Donna Slatterly; six cherished grandchildren, Gianna, Gabriella, Nicholas, Dylan, Nadia and Lily; her lifelong best friend, Linda Hence; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy’s family would like to thank the staffs at both Rome Hospital and Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful care and compassion. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Rome Hospital Foundation or Hospice and Palliative Care.
