Mrs. Nancy Hartman McKnight, 80, of Mocksville, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 3, 1938 in Forsyth County to Robert Gray and Pearl Griffith Hartman. She retired from Wachovia Bank with 42 years of service. Surviving is her husband, Harold Gray McKnight; a daughter, Sherry Smith of Advance; a granddaughter, Shannon Bolton and husband Joel of Huntersville; two great grandchildren, Ellie and Clark Bolton; a step daughter, Laura Darnell and husband Ralph of Mocksville; two step grandchildren, James Carter, Jr. and Nicki Atkinson; three step great grandchildren, Micah and Carly Carter and Rayne Atkinson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Advance United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Thompson and Rev. Cheryl Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
