Obituary for Nancy Elizabeth Poore, RN Nancy Elizabeth Poore RN, age 71, Erwin, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2019 at Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Albert Gallentine and Edith Gloria Clark Poore. Nancy was a native of Erwin having lived in Daytona Beach, Fl and Chester, PA before returning to Erwin fifteen years ago. She graduated from registered nursing school in Hamlet, NC. She worked as a RN in many different facilities in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Nancy was very proud of her time spent working in the burn unit in Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Nancy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sister, Scherry Lavoie and husband, James Lesanto, of Henderson, NV, her best friend, Nikki Taylor, of Erwin, two nephews: Charles Lavoie and wife, Debi Seek, of Pahrump, NV, Frank Lavoie and wife, Margarit Yaghjian, of Yerevan, Armenia; four grandnephews: Jacob Lavoie, of Pahrump, NV, Erik, Max, and Marcus Lavoie, all of Yerevan, Armenia; four aunts: Helen Bowman, Louise Bowers, Gail Clark, and Barbara Clark; several cousins also survive. The family will attend a private graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery.
