Mike McCorkle of Hope, Arkansas July 21, 1953 – April 24, 2019 Michael Jay “Mike” McCorkle age 65, longtime resident of Hope and Spring Hill, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born July 21, 1953 in Hope, Arkansas to Cecil and Lucille McCormack McCorkle. He would retire in July after 42 years of service at University of Arkansas Southwest Arkansas Research Center and was a member Unity Baptist Church of Hope. Mike is preceded in death by his father Cecil R. McCorkle. He is survived by his mother, Lucille McCorkle of Hope, AR; one brother, Wendell McCorkle and Kay of Hope, AR; one sister, Sandra White and Billy Bob of Bentonville, AR; five nieces and nephews, Chrisy Currier and Clint, Bitsy Carter, Jill Birge and Dennis, Chad White, Todd White and Cassi; five great nieces and nephews, Brighton Birge, Nate Carter, Ali Currier, Logan Currier and Mason Currier; special friends, Wayne McCoy and Vicki Bennett. Visitation will be from 9:00am until service time at 10:00am Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope Arkansas. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Jay Pollan officiating under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
