Michael J. Mikita Jr., 86, of East Liverpool, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Calcutta Health Care. Mike was born April 6, 1933, in Cowanshannock Township, he was a son of the late Michael J. and Anna Zagrapan Mikita. He was a 1951 graduate of Midland High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Crucible Steel until the closure. He enjoyed dancing, fishing (which included many trips to Canada with his father and brother) and bowling where he scored a league sanctioned 299 leaving a solid 10 pin on the last ball. Mike attended St. Stevens Episcopal Church in East Liverpool. He is survived by his companion of 35 years Mary Lou Kinsey; also, by his first wife, Patricia Mikita of Laurelville, OH. and their children, Michael and his wife Deborah of Boardman, Jeffrey and his wife, Anna of TN. and Milissa Uhl and her husband Steve of Laurelville, OH.; brother, John Mikita and his wife Patricia; and 8 grandchildren. Father William Pugliese will celebrate Mike’s life on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 2:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Friends may visit with the family for a memorial visitation starting at 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
