Melba J. Ammons, 84, of Arcadia, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her home. She was born in Naples, Florida on September 21, 1934. She moved to DeSoto County from Merritt Island, Florida eleven years ago. She had been employed at a tire store as a bookkeeper. Melba was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ammons in 2014. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Philip Dennison of Cocoa, Florida; brother, Stephen Allison Jones of Naples, Florida; sister, Barbara Morgan of South Carolina; grandchild, Cara Regina Pedono; and cousins.
