Mathai C. Chacko, 77, a resident of Port Chester died May 7, 2019. He was born June 30, 1941 in Kerala, India to the late Varghese Mathai and Saramma George. He was raised and educated in India graduating from nursing school. Mr. Chacko immigrated to the United States in 1974. He was a registered nurse at United Hospital in Port Chester for 20 years retiring in 2003. He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church and a member and past officer of the Indian Nurses Association. Mr. Chacko is survived by his wife Valsa P. John of Port Chester, NY, his son Anil Chacko and his wife Lovely Samuel of Missouri, TX., step daughter Mitzy Shaji and her husband Shaji Joseph of Kerala, India, brothers CM Varghese of Kerala, India and John Mathia and his wife Elsie John of Port Chester, NY., sisters Mariamma Varkui of Columbus, OH, Annamma Jose and Aleyamma Cherian both of Kerala, India, grandchildren Isabella Chacko, Ryan Chacko, Joel Shaji and John Shaji, He was predeceased by his first wife Annamma Cherian who died June 1998, and his brother CM Daniel Varghese. Visitation will be 5-8PM on Friday May 10, 2019 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00AM on Saturday May 11, 2019 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady Of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY
