GODFREY-Mary Seigler Stein Godfrey, age 88, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Thomas Stein and daughter of the late Curtis Seigler and the late Virginia Jackson Seigler, entered into eternal rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She is survived by a son, Anthony Stein; daughters Mary Ann (Don) Cooper and Helen Shealey; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Stephen Stein and Thomas Stein, Jr. She was born in Aiken, S.C. and grew up at Seigler’s Crossroads there. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Aiken. She retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas. She was a very special lady, who loved everybody, especially her children, grandchildren and let’s not forget her pet dogs. A loving lady of her caliber shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 88 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church in Aiken, S. C. this Friday evening, May 3, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In honoring her wishes, the service will be private.
