Mary Dolores Townsend Hardin of Pulaski passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2019 at her home. She was born in Pulaski on August 8, 1930 and was 88 years old. Dolores was a retired teacher of 42 years. She attended Martin Methodist College in Pulaski and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of East Hill Church of Christ. Visitation is on Tuesday, May 28th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, May 29th at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the funeral home with Bro. Johnny Jackson and Bro. Johnathan Burns officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial Donations are suggested to the Charity or Organization of Your Choice. Preceded in death by her parents, Claude C. Cathcart and Ella Lee Tarpley Cathcart. Survived by, husband of 42 years, Joe Hardin of Pulaski, son, Bobby (Karla) Townsend of Pulaski, daughter, Cathy (Barry) Laxson of Pulaski, son, Scott (Susan) Hardin of Brentwood, son, Steve (Anissa) Woods of Perth, Australia, 12 grandchildren, Jackson Townsend, Parker Townsend, Morgan Townsend, Whitt Laxson, Meredith Garvin, Courtney Fay, Tatum Hardin, Fate Hardin, Sanders Hardin, Megan Smith, Jack Woods and Allie Woods, 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Peggy Bass of Pulaski, brother, Murph Cathcart of Nashville, sister Faye Norwood of Pulaski and several nephews and nieces also survive.
