Mrs. Mary Buchanan Roe, age 83, of the Grassy Community of Arab, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Roe was born on May 2, 1936 in Marshall County to Oliver Burton & Annie Deliah Buchanan. She married the late Beley “Bill” LaWayne Roe on December 27, 1952, Mr. Roe passed on May 9, 2013. She retired after 25 years from Wrangler. Mrs. Roe enjoyed gardening, sewing & loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Roe is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Ricky Roe & Kathy, Charles Roe, Randal Roe & Sandy; daughters & sons-in-law, Deborah Plunkett & Alvie, Karen Peterson & Eric; grandchildren, Brad Roe & Sherrie, Daniel Roe & Alicia, Angela Brown & Joe, Jeremy Plunkett & Amanda, Aaron Roe, Brandon Peterson, Brianna Roe; great grandchildren, Caleb Joshua & Sarah Roe, Lily & Ella Roe, Annie Brooks Plunkett, Asa Brown; brothers & sisters-in-law, Eugene “Gene” Buchanan & Faye, William Roy Buchanan & Pat; sister & brother-in-law, Virginia “Judy” Medlock & Jonathan; special friend, Dianne Edmondson. Preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Burton & Annie Deliah Buchanan; husband, Beley “Bill” LaWayne Roe; brothers, J.C. Buchanan, Bobby Buchanan; sisters, Nell Bright, Doris Chapman. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mike Whitt & Bro. Jeremy Plunkett, officiating. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Brad Roe, Daniel Roe, Brandon Peterson, Aaron Roe, Caleb Roe & Josh Roe; Honorary Pallbearer, Joe Brown. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
