Obituary Bel Air, MD- Marlene Pearl Pollock, 83, of Bel Air, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born March 12, 1936 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late George M. Harris and Ida P. (Rae) Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Pollock; son, Gilbert A. Rice, Jr.; sister, Thelma L. Offman; and son-in-law, John McAfee. She was a graduate of Beall High School. Mrs. Pollock had been self-employed as a home-care provider. Marlene was a life member of Moose Lodge 271, Cumberland, and the Cumberland Outdoor Club. She also enjoyed playing BINGO. Survivors include her children, Cheryl L. McAfee, Massillon, OH, and Randy S. Rice and wife Roxann, Cumberland; grandchildren, John and wife Shannon, Billy and wife Christine, Kelly and husband Chad, Randy and wife Brandi, and Scott and wife Kim; and great-grandchildren, Cailyn, Kristin, Samantha, Logan, Ethan, Grayson, Liam, and Teagan. She is also survived by a special niece, Debbie Myers. Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 1 PM, with Pastor Jim Jeffries, officiating. Inurnment will be in MSVC Rocky Gap.
