Marjorie A. Thumma, 76, of Carlisle, PA passed away May 24, 2019 in the Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle. She was born August 18, 1942 in Carlisle, PA to the late Ernest C. and Margaret E. (Schmohl) Swartz. Marjorie worked at California Cafe and Piezo Crystal Company. She was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she participated in a prayer group. Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, Lester M. Thumma, Jr. of Carlisle; children, Eric A. Thumma and wife Courtney Lane of Brookline, MA and Emily E. McDonald and husband, Brian of Carlisle; and grandchildren, Iris and Ingrid McDonald, both of Carlisle. Marjorie was preceded in death by her brother, Fred L. Swartz. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther St., Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Titus Clarke officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Project Share, 5 N. Orange St. #4, Carlisle, PA 17013. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt.
