Maria Ernestina Solorzano, 79, of Brownsville, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Fuentes and Maria Arangua; Sisters, Perfecta Rodriguez, Rosa Hernandez, and Inez Delgado Fuentes; brothers, Fidencio, Jose, and Francisco Fuentes. Maria Ernestina Solorzano is survived by her 6 children, Jose Antonio Tamayo, Rosario (Adolfo) Treviño, Jesus (Mary) Solorzano, Enrique Solorzano, Beatriz (Virgilio) Longoria, and Jorge (Melissa) Bedolla; 2 sisters, Concepcion Garcia, and Guadalupe Mendez; 1 brother, Juan Fuentes; 15 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 9 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
