Marguerite M. Wiegand, age 95 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, May 05, 2019, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. She was born June 12, 1923, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Frank and Carrie (nee Sigg) Koch. On February 11, 1950, she married Kenneth R. Wiegand at St. Paul Church in Highland, IL. He passed away on January 04, 1972. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Highland Garden Club; Meal-On-Wheels; Perpetual Adoration at St. Joseph Hospital; St. Paul Catholic Church Bible Study Group. Marguerite was born at Highland, IL and graduated St. Paul High School in 1941. She helped her dad at the old Koch & Hug Garage, where she met her husband. She worked part-time at St. Paul Church and became full-time at the church in 1968. She retired in 1998 at age 75, with over 55 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and visited the Rose Bowl, OH, California, Wisconsin, Colorado, New York, Florida and traveled to Europe as a retirement gift from the Parish. She was a good cook and was always baking. She always had a flower garden. Her pride and joy was her farm ground and gravel pit in Keysport. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the go-to in her family for genealogy and family history. She was honored to receive the Magnificat Award from St. Paul Catholic Church and the Springfield Diocese. Survivors include : Husband – Kenneth R. Gemoules – Died 2017 Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 09, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul School Educational Foundation Highland Garden Club.
