Luther Benjamin Kelley, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at The Oaks of Carrollton. He was born on March 24, 1922, in Sylacauga, Alabama, the son of John and Emma Kelley. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II as a Sergeant with the Eleventh Armored Division. He was a member of the American Legion and interested in anything military. Mr. Kelley is survived by his daughter, Pam McHan of Douglasville; his grandchildren, Michelle Nails, Ben Thackston, LeeAnn Mashburn and Kelly Walker, and great grandchildren, Angela, Steven, Mackenzie, Madelyn, Mason and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Kelley; his parents; his brothers, Johnny, Jimmy, Lonnie and Ralph Kelley, and his daughter, Janie Mashburn.
