Mrs. Lois Marionneaux, 82, lovingly called “Memaw”, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at the Georgetown Community Hospital. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on December 18, 1936 to the late Odis Lee and Rosa Capers Stephens. Lois worked in the office of the Dean of Men and the office of Personnel at EKU, and was a retired Administrative Assistant at Madison Central High School. She was a member of the Union City Christian Church as well as the Lizzie Berry Circle. Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, Ronald Lee Marionneaux; her children, Rhonda Bellairs (Bart), Steve Marionneaux (Rosemary), Joni Stephens (Pat), and Dr. Daren Marionneaux (Dana); grandchildren, Laura Forster (Derek), Daniel Stephens (Mindy), Jon Allen (Lauren), Ben Stephens (Leah), Stephen Marionneaux (Taylor), Alan Michael Marionneaux (Ellyn), Katie Sorrels (Chase), Rachel Marionneaux, Hannah Marionneaux, and Joseph Stephens; 15 great-grandchildren, one sister, Ginger Petrus; and a host of other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: four brothers, Odis Lee Stephens, Jr., Gene Stephens, Sammy Stephens and Norman Stephens. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 31, 2019, at the Union City Christian Church, 2473 Union City Road, Richmond, with Bro. Chip Denief officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Union City Christian Church from 4-8 PM Thursday, and from 9-10 AM on Friday. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Daniel Stephens, Jon Allen, Ben Stephens, Stephen Marionneaux, Alan Michael Marionneaux and Joseph Stephens. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Pat Stephens, Derek Forster and Bart Bellairs. The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, is in charge of the arrangements.
