Obituary for Lily Marie Mehl Lily M Mehl, 69, passed away on April 25, 2019 at the Villages Cornerstone Hospice House ending an 18 month battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her husband Wayne of 50 years, her daughters Jewel Boling (Chris) of Virginia and Crystal Burgwald (Ted) of Lady Lake, FL, and her grandchildren Vincent, Dayton, Kenna and Corbin. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill Dayton and Norman Dayton, and her sister, Laura Ragon. Lily was born in Loup City, Nebraska. She worked in the Health Care industry as a Medical Technician. She and her husband, Wayne, moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2016. Lily loved her family, both near and far, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed many hands-on projects like gardening, scrapbooking, sewing and her forte was quilting. She enjoyed traveling and making friends wherever her husband’s career with the military sent them such as throughout the USA, the Philippines, Greece, Germany and the surrounding areas. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Memorial service to be held Saturday, May 25 2019 at 11am at St Marks Lutheran Church, 28215 US Hwy 27, Leesburg FL. She will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St Marks Lutheran Church building fund or American Cancer Society.
