LILLIAN’s Obituary Lillian R. Watne Lillian R. Watne 76, Fallbrook, California died February 27, 2019 at Tri City Medical Center, Vista, CA following a brief illness. Lillian Ray Williams was born at Norfolk, VA on June 29, 1942 the daughter of Ruby and Ray Williams. She was the oldest of 5 children. Lillian met the love of her life, Allen R. Watne Jr. in Virginia Beach, VA during his time there with the United States Navy. They lived in Charleston, SC, Long Beach, CA, Alameda, CA, and San Diego, CA. They were married in Reno, NV on December 16, 1977. Their last deployment was in Great Lakes, IL as Allen retired from the US Navy. They moved back to California in 1990. Lillian was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She continued to live in Fallbrook, CA following Allen’s death on March 25, 2011. Lillian is survived by her daughters Ivy (Steve) Mercereau, Carlsbad, CA; Leatrice (David) Smith, Cumming, GA; Allen’s daughter Cheri Eldridge, Elko, NV; three grandsons, one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild (expected late summer) and four step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Ida and Lola, one brother Robert, brothers-in law Bernard (Bev) Watne, Terry Watne and sisters-in-law Darlene Brandvold and Renee (Joe) Martin. She was preceded in death by Allen, parents Ruby and Ray, parents-in-law (Allan) Raymond and Alma Watne, and sister Linda. A Celebration of Life was held at Lake Elsinore, CA on May 25, 2019. A private family burial was held at the Binford Lutheran Cemetery on May 29, 2019. Read More
