Leroy’s Obituary Leroy H. Wills, 94, of Port Austin Township, passed away on May 12, 2019 at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital in Bad Axe. He was born on February 8, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Roy and Florence (Howell) Wills. Leroy was in the U.S. Army during World War II; he served under General Patton and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church/Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Port Austin and the American Legion in Port Austin. Leroy worked and retired from Thumb Tool & Engineering. He had a t.v. repair shop in his home; he loved bluegrass music and traveled to Nashville for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed making and flying model airplanes; was an avid football fan, especially the Detroit Lions; and enjoyed target practice shooting. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. On November 8, 1947, he married the love of his life, Lillian D. Stockoski at St. Michael’s Church in Port Austin, Michigan. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2016. Leroy is survived by his children: Randy Wills and his wife, Marsha, of Mt. Clemens, Dale Wills of Port Austin, Gerard Wills and his wife, Carla, of Haslett, Brenda Watchowski of Fraser, Greg Wills of Warren and Julie Wills of Fraser; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Wills of Oregon. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Daniel Watchowski. Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Port Austin, Michigan with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde, Michigan with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be at the church on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
