Lauren’s Obituary Lauren Marie Powless, age 18, passed away due to a car accident on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Ironwood, MI. She was born August 16, 2000 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Naomi Marsh and Joseph Powless. Lauren attended schools in Bessemer, MI graduating in 2019. She worked at Little Caesars in Ironwood, MI and as a dance instructor for the Ironwood School of Dance. Lauren was a talented and graceful dancer who enjoyed teaching the young dancers her passion. She also enjoyed writing poems, all kinds of art, driving, swimming and playing sports. She admired all animals and the ocean. She loved being with her family and friends and was always full of life. She is survived by her mother, Naomi Marsh; father, Joseph Powless; brother, Daniel Livingston; sister, Sage Powless; special niece who she was so fond of Layla Rain Powless; maternal grandparents, Pamela (Michael) Cadotte and Lawrence “Butch” Stone; paternal grandparents, Milton “Mike” and Karen Powless; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Bad River Community Center with Pastor Teena Racheli officiating. Interment will follow in the Odanah Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, May 21st at the Bad River Community Center and continue until the hour of service on Wednesday.
