Kenneth “Shrimp” Steele November 27, 1947 – May 16, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Kenneth “Shrimp” Wayne Steele, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Reid Health in Richmond. He was born on November 27, 1947, in Connersville, and is the son of Reverend Irvin Steele and Clista Maggard Steele. He served with the U.S. Army for 6 years. Shrimp had attended Full Gospel Holiness Church. He was a member of the American Legion, AmVets, and was a quarter master of the V.F.W. He loved working on cars and riding his motorcycle, with his beloved dog, Willard, in tow. He enjoyed being outside, especially when he was fishing, boating, or working in his garden. Shrimp was a music lover and had a large record collection that he liked listening to. He is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (Matt) McGraw, of Connersville; a son, Anthony (Jeana) Steele, of Connersville; a brother, Ronnie (Beverly) Steele, of Sanders, KY; three sisters, Patricia (Rick) Stewart, of Richmond, Linda (Richard) Knowles, of Oxford, OH, and Joyce Russell, of Richmond; along with his three grandchildren, Jordan McGraw, Mia McGraw, and Amy Steele. Shrimp was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael Keith Steele and Marvin Ray Steele. Visitation for Shrimp will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 21, at Full Gospel Holiness Church. Burial with graveside military honors presented by the Fayette County Honor Guard will follow in Dale Cemetery.
