Katherine E. Kevany (nee Mazanec), age 63. Beloved wife of the late James; devoted mother of Thomas (Terri), Brian (Stephanie) and Daniel (Sarah); most loving and caring Nana/Nini to Lauren, Natalie, Claire, and Maura. Daughter of the late Robert Sr., Elizabeth (nee Brennan) and Virginia (nee O’Brien). Dear sister of Patricia Raspanti (Joseph, deceased), Jean Smith (Martin), Laurie Belt (Thomas), Robert Jr., Peter, John (deceased), Michael (Rosaleen) and Mary Jane Mazanec (deceased). Passed away May 29, 2019. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5 at Our Lady of Angels Church. Interment at St. Mary of the Falls Cemetery. Kathy was a caretaker, great mother and friend, and welcomed everyone with open arms. She loved her days as a Hockey mom, school nurse at Butternut and Spruce, and greeter at Peterson Pool. A lifelong blood donor and volunteer in the North Olmsted Schools, there was no limit to her benevolence and compassion. Her favorite role, however, was as Nana/Nini to her four granddaughters, who will continue her legacy of kindness.
