Kathee Weir Wiberg September 14, 1963 ~ May 28, 2019 Kathee Wiberg was born in Roy, Utah on September 14, 1963 and passed away in her home on May 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. When Kathee was just 12 years old, she met a quiet, blue-eyed blonde new kid at school named Brent Wiberg. On June 28, 1984, these high school sweethearts were married in the Ogden Utah Temple. She was excited to celebrate their 35th anniversary, exactly one month from the day she passed. As a strong and independent woman, Kathee enjoyed a 25-year career at Hill Air Force Base. In her early adult years, she enjoyed utilizing her creativity by writing a book called Missionary Mailbox, running her own crafting and newspaper business The Kottage Korner, and inventing the scrapbook scissor carrier Cuttin’ Caddie. First and foremost, Kathee was a dedicated and generous wife and mother. She willingly sacrificed everything for her family and loved spending time with them. Her favorite activities with family included camping, soaking up sun in the hammock, and finding the muddiest puddles while four-wheeling. Kathee especially loved becoming a grandmother and treasured each of her four grandchildren: Bryson, Sterling, Adelaide, and baby Everett. She loved to wrestle with them as they climbed on her, take them to Farr’s for their favorite Playdough ice cream cone, help them feed the horses a treat, and sing silly songs like “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.” Those who knew Kathee would say that she is one of a kind. She had a witty and over-the-top personality that provoked countless laughs in all her social circles. She had a funny story for every topic and was easy to get along with. She cared deeply about all of her friends and was willing to sacrifice anything to let them know she loved them. Owning horses was a lifelong dream for Kathee, and that dream was fulfilled in summer 2017 when beautiful mare Jewels and her spunky colt Monty became the residents of the pasture. Spending time with her two horses brought Kathee so much peace and joy. She loved them both and was devastated when Monty was taken by Wobbler’s Disease. Kathee had a passion for learning about health and strived to figure out the best way to live life. She enjoyed sharing her ever-growing knowledge with her family and always encouraged them to implement small changes to better their lives. In her battle with breast cancer, she crushed many mental and physical struggles and, in many ways, became the healthiest version of herself that she had ever been. A message that Kathee wanted to leave behind is that no matter what you are facing in life, know your options and advocate for yourself; get educated on as much as you can, and know that there is always more than one path from which to choose. Kathee is survived by her husband, Brent; their four children, Brenton, Brock and Jashley (and their four children), Brittnee and Andy Conlin, and Brailee; her parents, Jack and JoAnne Weir; and four sisters, Kristy Nishijima, Kaylene Hurd, Kerri Wintle, and Jacci Strain. A graveside memorial service will be held at West Haven Cemetery located at 1500 S 2350 W on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 3 p.m. Kathee was passionate about giving and always had a desire to help others in their struggles.
