JOHN WOODS, age 76, of Talbott, TN passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He was a member of Browns Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Berkline after 45 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lorene Woods; granddaughter, Brittany; brother, Bob Woods; brothers-in-law, Ronnie McGhee and Marvin Crawford; sister-in-law, Margie Woods. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years and 9 months, Mary Woods; sons, Tim Woods of New Market, Greg Woods of Talbott, Brian Woods and wife, Tina of Dandridge; grandchildren, Megan, Chancey, Courtney and Blake; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold of Talbott, Jr. and Brenda of Dandridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley McGhee of Dandridge, Betty and Ronald Weston of Morristown, Vina Crawford of Morristown; step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Bryan and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Addy and Joe, Naphali and Luke; step-great-grandchildren, Little Kevin, Damian, Dallas and Savannah; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Alder and Rev. Tommy Sartain officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
