John N. Blalock, 68, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA. following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Central Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 7775 Moon Road, Columbus, GA. with private internment following the service. John was born on June 30, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia, the middle son of Connie B. Blalock and June Flournoy Blalock, John graduated from Chavala High School in Seale, Alabama in 1968 and from Huntingdon College in 1972 with a Music/Organ degree. John cofounded Delta Data Software in Columbus, GA in 1985 with Burton Keller and Don Davidson. He retired in the Spring of 2017. He was a member of Central Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, where he served as an elder and was the music director for 47 years. John was always happy to help and serve the Lord and the congregation and is often remembered as “Such a Nice Man”. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his oldest brother, Terrell Blalock. Survivors include his brother; Robert “Bobby” Blalock of Crawford, Alabama, and cousin, Sandra Lyles. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church, Disciples of Christ and/or Huntingdon College, Montgomery, AL. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of John N.
