John’s Obituary John F. MacDonald, 80, of Palmer Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. John was born in Somerville, MA, a son of the late John Hector and Dorothy MacDonald. John was married to the former Renata Vegetabile, with whom he celebrated 25 years of marriage. He was a Vice President of Sales in publishing. John was an avid reader; loved his books and doing the NY Times crossword puzzle. He never missed an episode of Jeopardy. He loved his house cats Pappy and Kristy and looked after the garage feral cats that would come and go. Not a day went by that he didn’t feed all the birds in the front yard and enjoyed watching them from the kitchen window. In addition to his wife, John is survived by daughters Julie MacDonald, Susan MacDonald and husband Jon, Sandy MacDonald; sons Michael Heck and wife Natalie, Christopher Heck; a sister Linda Anzalone; grandchildren Nicolas, Evelyn, and Cameron. He is preceded in death by a brother Paul MacDonald. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). Contributions in John’s memory may be made to Nat’s Cats Rescue.
