John B Hamerski January 29 1926 May 22 2019

John B. Hamerski of Aliquippa passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2019 with his family at his side. John was born in Aliquippa on January 29, 1926 to the late John and Victoria Hamerski. He attended Hopewell High School where he met the love of his life, B. Nell Hamerski. They married in 1946 and had four children. John served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was self employed as a builder of custom homes. Later he was employed by Rome Monument Works as a Maintenance and Infrastructure Engineer where he was known as “Hammer”. But most of all John will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Nell and his sisters, Helen Kasper and Eleanor Nawrocki. John will be sadly missed by his children and their spouses: Linda and Chris Wichmann, Jack and Patty Hamerski, Blair and Bernice Hamerski, Victoria and Kevin Kalidonis; his grandchildren Bryan (Linda) Hamerski, Kate (Moshe) Sherman, Sean Kalidonis, Matthew (Sarah) Hamerski, Emily (Laura) Wichmann as well as four great-grandchildren: Ori and Zinnia Sherman and Julia and Olivia Hamerski and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Donna and Alisha for their loving care. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Blessing service for John on Tuesday, May 28th at 11 am Mt Olivet Cemetery Chapel.
