John’s Obituary GAINES – John Arthur Entered into eternal rest May 20, 2019. Husband of the late Arfredah (nee Hakeem) Gaines; father of Derek L. and Michael M. (Eden) Gaines, of Oxon Hill, MD; brother of Erma J. Johnson; also survived by 10 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and cherished friends. Mr. Gaines will lie in repose Tuesday, May 28, 2019, from 12 noon to 9 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church, 1301 Fillmore Ave., where the family will be present Tuesday from 7-9 PM, and where Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11 AM.
