Joel’s Obituary Joel C. Moore, 64, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. He attended Maple Grove Baptist Church in Harrison, TN. Joel was a kind and loving husband, who enjoyed music and old TV shows. He was employed with Handyman Matters, where he was a talented remodeling contractor. His trademark was his beautiful smile and his laugh was so infectious that if you heard it, it would make you laugh too. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lucy Moore; brother, James L. Moore, Jr. and grandmother, Elta Killian Lee Smith. Joel is survived by his wife, Carolyn Moore; brother, Kirby Moore and several special cousins and many loving friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Maple Grove Baptist Church @ 9525 Birchwood Pk, Harrison, TN. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Dotson and Associate Pastor Andy Bell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
