Joe’s Obituary Mr. Joe Howard Haley, 88 of 12140 Rockford School Road, Gretna, Virginia departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Piney Forest Health and Rehab. Born November 9, 1930 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Ned Haley and Annabell Logan Haley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Howard, Edward, and Remus Haley; five sisters Emma Whetstone, Rachel Myers, Patti Watson, Louise Hubbard, and Carolyn Hodnett; one son-in-law Alfred Walton. Mr. Haley was last employed by Klopman Mills and was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church serving as a Trustee. Mr. Haley was twice married to the late Oderal Smith Haley and later to Naomi Pannell Haley. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Naomi Pannell Haley of Gretna, Virgnia; two sons, Spencer Haley (Brenda) of Madison Heights, Virginia and Pastor Steven Haley (Sharon) of Lynchburg, Virginia; two daugthers, Debra Blake (Jimmy) of Bedford, Virginia and Connie Walton of Danville, Virginia; One sister, Thelma Barksdale of Gretna, Virginia; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
