Joan Topham, 76, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 4, 1942 in Sparta, WI, the daughter of Roy and Violet (Hemerley) Aney. Joan and her family moved to Beloit, WI, in 1949. She was a 1960 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. Joan married Lonnie A. Topham on August 15, 1964 in Rockton, IL. He predeceased her on March 14, 1990. Joan was formerly employed by Woolworth’s, First National Bank, Beloit Corporation, JC Penney and retired from Besley in 2004 after 27 years. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, watching her grandchildren playing sports, bus trips to the casino as well as traveling to Las Vegas. She was also a Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include her children, Lisa (Tom) Walters of Beloit, WI, Lonnie (Sara) Topham of Roscoe, IL and Suzan (Joseph) Grindey of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Tyler, Katie, Emma, Abby, Holly, Heidi, Michael, Brittany and Brooke; great grandchildren, Alaina, Jetson, Brenden, Olivia, Scarlett, Connar, Wesley and Abraham; two uncles, Chuck (Judy) Hemerley of Janesville, WI, and Mahlon (Janice) Hemerley of Beloit, WI. The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice especially Jill, Kristi, Dusty and Kendra for the care that was given to Joan. She was predeceased by her parents, son-in-law, Matt; brother, Robert and close friend, Karen. Funeral service for Joan will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor David Meding officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL. Visitation of remembrance will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
