Janice Louise Rieker Brooks November 11 1952 May 27 2019 (age 66)

Janice Louise Brooks, 66, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 27, at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. She was born November 11, 1952 in Richmond, IN, to the late William L. and Beulah Soper Rieker. She enjoyed being home and taking care of her family and also liked to knit and crochet. She attended King’s Way Church of God Mountain Assembly in Nicholasville, and her church and her faith were important to her. She leaves to treasure her memories two daughters, Jennifer Davis, husband Walter “Pete,” and Amy Gill, boyfriend Derrick Osten; five grandchildren, Stephanie Abner, husband Levi, Alyssa Holland, husband Matt, and Katelyn, Madison, and Blake Gill; and 3 great grandchildren, Samuel and Sadie Abner and Chase Holland; sister Lisa Mayo, husband Raymond ; and a life-long friend Sarah Kaiser. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jeffrey Lynn Brooks. A Remembrance Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, June 1, at King’s Way Church of God Mountain Assembly located at 930 South Main St., Nicholasville. “You’ll never forget your mother’s face, the sound of her voice, the stories she told, the traditions she handed down….
