James Edward Kirby, 72, of Alexander City, formerly of Fort Payne, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019. He was born in Fort Payne on August 20, 1946 to the late Ira and Nina Graves Kirby. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mtn. View Memory Gardens with Rev. Will Ramage officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. He is survived by his sister, Jean Dutton of Southside and several nieces and nephews.
