JAMES COSTANZO June 14 1918 May 2 2019 (age 100)

COSTANZO, JAMES, age 100, passed away peacefully at Kent Hospital on Thursday, May 2, 2019. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years Perina (Petrarca) Costanzo in 2016. Born on June 14, 1918, he was a son of the late Joseph and Assunta (Raimondo) Costanzo. James was a private in the US Army receiving a Purple Heart while serving in the European African Middle Eastern Theater during WWII. After an Honorable Discharge, he was employed as a steel worker for several years. James was a diamond setter and later a supervisor in the RI jewelry industry before retiring in 1984. James enjoyed golfing, cooking and rooting for the NY Yankees and NE Patriots. He was the father of James A. Costanzo and his wife Jo-Ann of Coventry and Louise A. Jarbeau and her husband Lawrence of West Warwick. He was the grandfather of Lawrence Jarbeau Jr. and his wife Kate and Gregory Jarbeau and his wife Laura, and the great-grandfather of Cory, Logan and Chase Jarbeau. James was the brother of Anthony Costanzo and his wife Jennie of West Warwick, and the late Philomena Notarianni, Mickey Capoverdi, Mary Masterson and Joseph Costanzo. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning, May 8, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, West Warwick. Interment with military honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. iannottifh.com
