Celebrating the Life of Jakeem Amaru Booker On June 15, 1999 Jakeem Amaru Booker was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, to the union of Takema Harris and George Booker. Jakeem (which means “Raised Up”) affetionately kown as Bud, Trippo, became a resident of the Braddock area and lived with his mother. Although Jakeem was home-schooled, he graduated and received his diploma. Jakeem went on to further his education by attending the Registered Nurses Program (CCAC Braddock). Through out his teenage years he played baseball and football for North Braddock. In his leisusre time Jakeem liked having lunch with his grandmother, helping others especially his grandmother. Jakeem loved to play basketball, shop, play board games, vieo games and goof around or hangg out with family and friends. Jakeem was employed at the Braddock Youth Program, Macy’s and Ihop. He was know for his wit, infectious smile, his kindness and passionate spirit. He was a strong intelligent fun-loving, handsome, respectful young man who made people laugh. Jakeem was truly blessed and will be truly missed. Jakeem leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Takema Harris, father George Booker, Grandmother: Tonya Stevenson, Earlean Eubanks, Grandfather: Richard Harris; Brother: Kejuan White, Sisters: Imoni Marshman, Lela White, four Aunts: Natasha Stevenson, Ebony Stevenson, Karla Richardson and Holly Booker, 3 Uncles: Richard Harris, Derek Bullock and Lamont Booker. Godparents: Tyrone White Jr. and Nakiema Wilson, along with a host of cousins, family members and friends. Lovingly submitted by the Family
