Iver was born September 5, 1940 in Oakland, Nebraska, to Walter and Mabel (Olson) Beckstrom. He passed away May 12, 2019 at his home in rural Craig, Nebraska, surrounded by his family. Iver lived in rural Craig (past village of Bertha) his entire life. He attended Bertha Country School and Lyons High School.
