She was born in Altavista, VA on November 16, 1924 to the late Latta Little and Annie Beaty Little. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Bernard Lee; son, Bobby Eugene Lee; and second husband, Norwood Leamon Gurley. The funeral service will be held at Princeton Baptist Church on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 7:00 pm with the Reverend Bill Rose and Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on Monday, June 3 2019 at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends at Princeton Baptist Church on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Mrs. Gurley was a Member of First PH Church of Goldsboro and a past member of Princeton Baptist Church. She was a member of the Gideon Auxillary, Active in America Business Woman’s Association, Active in the Cancer Society and also won Woman of the Year with the American Business Woman’s Association. She enjoyed baking and had also catered in years past. She is survived by son, Curtis Lee of Princeton; daughter, Delores Lee of Princeton; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Christina and Jason Stanley; 2 great grandchildren, Savannah Stanley and Bridget Stanley; 2 stepchildren, Sandra Mooring and Felix Gurley.
