Hettie Wenger Martin Thursday May 16th 2019

Hettie M. Wenger, 84, of New Holland, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at her daughter’s residence in Penn Yan, New York. She was born in Caernarvon Twp. to the late Aaron and Mary (Martin) Martin and was the wife of the late John M. Wenger who passed away in 2006. She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). Hettie was a homemaker. Hettie is survived by six children, Aaron Wenger, Mahlon Wenger, both of New Holland, Barbara, wife of David Hoover, Fannie, wife of the late Glenn Hoover, both of Penn Yan, NY, Walter Wenger of Fleetwood, Mary Ann Wenger of Denver; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Susanna Sensenig, also of Penn Yan, NY. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Jacob, Daniel, B. Martin, Levi, Abraham, Isaac and John Martin and three sisters, Barbara Hoover, Maria Newswanger and Sara Redcay. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 9:00 AM at the Erwin Horning Residence, 151 S. Farmersville Road, Leola, with further services at 9:30 AM from the Groffdale Mennonite Church, 90 Groffdale Church Road, Leola, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating.
