Obituary for Gloria Amos Reynolds CHATHAM, Gloria Amos Reynolds, age 72, of Chatham, entered into rest on May 12, 2019 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1946, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Richard Norman Amos and Mavis Rusling Amos, who survives. Gloria was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was a member of Countyline Christian Church and was a caregiver for many years. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Robert) Burkett of Callands; a son, Richard Reynolds of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Jonathan Reynolds and Ian Reynolds; a brother, Paul (Susan) Amos of Dry Fork; a sister, Linda Gardner of Martinsville; and two special dogs, Chloe and Mayzie. Funeral services will be conducted at County Line Christian Church on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Minister Dean Ashby officiating. Burial will follow at the Amos Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times will be at the residence of her mother, 1440 Sailors Creek Rd. Callands, VA 24530.
