Glen’s Obituary Mr. Glen Leroy Dunkel, age 50, a resident of Rock Springs Road in Columbia, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 6:00pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Kinnaman officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00pm until the 6:00pm service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Glen was born April 29, 1969 in Oil City, Pennsylvania and was the son of Virginia “Suzie” Hazelton Atnip and the late Raymond L. Dunkel. He graduated from Cranberry High School in 1987 in Seneca, PA and traveled working as a millwright for several years. He was baptized at St. Joseph Church in Oil City, PA. Most recently he worked at Asgard Brewery. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and Nascar. He also enjoyed working at the alpaca farms. Most of all, he loved hanging out with family and friends. Glen is survived by his mother and stepfather: Virginia “Suzie” and Jack Atnip of Columbia; brother: Gary and Robin Dunkel of Columbia; grandfather: Ernest Dunkel of Columbia; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with his father he was preceded in death by paternal grandmother: Lillian Bickel Dunkel and maternal grandparents: Paul and Ruth Hazelton; and brother: Carl E. Dunkel. Read More
