Dateline: Alton George H. Hosier, 75, of Cottage Hills, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 in St. Anthony’s Hospital, in Alton. He was born on September 4, 1943, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the son of Robert Wesley and Violet (Gillham) Hosier. He married Deborah Myers on October 3, 1987 in St. Louis. George worked in the housekeeping department at Christian Northeast Hospital before his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He also loved to spend time with family and friends. Along with his wife, Deborah, George is survived by his two daughters, Amy and Greg Glowacki of Bethalto and Amber and Damon Copeland of Cottage Hills; four grandchildren, Caroline, Emma, Mackenzi and Hayden; four sisters; and three brothers.
