Gary Dean Shipler, 67, of Beloit, WI, died on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in his home. He was born on August 25, 1951 in Beloit, WI, the son of Cecil Shipler and Barbara Tuttle. Gary was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He married Jolynn Manley in 1972 and had two children, Billy and Gary. Gary later married Janice Gilbert in August of 2003. Gary was the owner/operator of Shipler Trucking. He enjoyed traveling, playing pool, riding his Harley and going to Daytona, FL for bike week. Gary was a family man, a great father and grandfather who loved to watch his grandkids play in sports. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his wife, Jan; children, Billy (Melissa) Shipler, Gary (Carol) Shipler, Roger Smith, Frank Smith, Lisa (Matt) Smith Karr, Melissa (Lee) Herman Cockerham, and Heidi (Mike) Herman Gonzales; 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother, Barbara Tuttle; brothers, Roy (Diane) Shipler and Steve (Velma) Shipler; sisters, Cheri (Murray) Hickman and Sally (Eldon) Isely. He was predeceased by his father. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
