Freeda’s Obituary Freeda Katherine Schaub, 95, of Belle Fourche left her earthly home for her heavenly home on May 8, 2019. Visitation will be for one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13 at 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Belle Fourche with the Reverend Bob Duemig and Reverend Gail Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche. The family suggests memorials to Who Let the Dogs Out Animal Shelter, PO Box 305 Belle Fourche, SD 57717. She was born in Crook, Colorado May 22, 1923 to Fred and Katherine (Kraft) Haffner. The family later moved to Vale, South Dakota. She married William “Bill” Schaub, Sr. in Sundance, WY in January 1940. To this union 3 children were born, Bill Jr., Jerry and Barbara. Freeda was a big help to Bill in his bulk gas business by answering the phone and taking orders. After Bill passed away, she worked as a seamstress for a couple of cleaners and Pete’s Clothing. She sewed until she was 90 years old and valued and looked forward to her customers many visits. She loved to bowl and golf and excelled at both. She loved to laugh and always had a good sense of humor. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her children, Bill (Diana) Schaub of Riverton, WY, Jerry (Carol) Schaub of Marion, IA and Barbara Morris of Rapid City; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Schaub; sisters, Mary Zitterkopf, Esther Mednansky, Mollie Shimp; brothers, Carl, Jake and Henry Schaub.
