Emmett Lee Thomas, 70, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. He was born in Washington County, VA, son of the late James Roscoe and Dora Mae Hamm Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Thomas and Bobby Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Belinda Carol Hucks Thomas; his children, Lee Thomas (Crystal Pelchat), Wayne Thomas (Patty Donaldson), Shannon McKinney (Paul) and Kim Taylor (Michael); his siblings, J.D. Thomas (T.C.), Herman Thomas (Anita), Doug Thomas (Tammy), Shirley Munsey (Darrell), Shelia Sanders (Larry) and Linda Reynolds (Junior); his sister-in-law, Debbie Thomas; his grandchildren, Lee Thomas, Jr., Tabitha Preston (Shane), Madison Thomas, Katie Thomas, Brittany Vazquez (Esteban), Kasey Awad, Ryan Awad, Trey McKinney, Nathan Carswell, Joshua Thomas, Madison Taylor and Kaidenz Taylor; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Thomas will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 pm on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Thomas family.
