Eduarda’s Obituary Cumberland, Eduarda Rodrigues, 98, passed away on Friday in the Mt. St. Rita Health Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Antonio Rodrigues. Born in Cumberland, Eduarda was a lifelong resident of Cumberland but moved to Portugal for 10 years then to Brazil for 10 years, and later moving back to the USA., settling back in Cumberland. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Rodrigues. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland where she volunteered her time in the kitchen during the church’s many events. She was also a member of the Clube Juventude Lusitana, Cumberland, where she also spent many hours working in the kitchen. Eduarda enjoyed gardening, watching game shows Portuguese music and Portuguese soap opera’s. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and daughter in law. Some of her favorite things to cook were, Carrot Cakes, Pudim Flan and Fados. She was a factory worker employed by Hasbro Inc., for 25 years, never until her retirement. Eduarda was proud to say that she never missed a day of work. She had also previously worked at Health Tex and Hindley Manufacturing, Cumberland. She is survived by her son Tony Rodrigues, and his wife Suzanne of Cumberland. One sister; Hilda Neves of Cumberland. Two grandchildren; Tony P. Rodrigues (Heather) and Albert J. Rogriges both of Cumberland. Two great-grandchildren; Luke Rodrigues and John Rodrigues, one niece Hilda Potrzeba (Thadde). She was the sister of the late; Guilhermina Cabral and Manuel Rodrigues, aunt of the late Albert Neves and sister-in-law of the late Albert A. Neves. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Eduarda’s Life Celebration beginning with Visiting Hours on Wednesday May 29, 2019 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and continuing on Thursday May 30, 2019 at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
