Earl Lee Smith January 18 1935 May 16 2019 (age 84)

Earl Lee Smith, 84 of Otisco, IN went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday May 16, 2019 at Norton’s Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on January 18, 1935 in Bethlehem, IN to Curtis and Lila McClure Smith. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War, and retired employee of I.C.I. of Americas, a 32 year member of Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany, IN and was involved with their Outreach Ministry and did a nursing home Ministry for 30 years. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Cook and siblings Jim, Paul and Sherrill Smith, Leona Shephard and Laverne Goodwin. Earl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Cornell Smith; daughters, Earlina Simms ( John) of Seymour, IN, Teri Logsdon (Pat) of Otisco; son, Jeff Smith (Sara) of Jeffersonville, IN; son-in-law, Theo Cook of Jeffersonville; sister-in-law’s Mildred Smith of Clarksville, IN and Ruth LaMasters of Scottsburg, IN; grandchildren, Chris Logsdon, Laura Kessler, Melissa Hackman, Jessica Acton, Erica Schwartz, Grant Smith, Eli Smith, Brandon and Benjamin Cook and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday May 20, 2019 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 pm to 7 pm and after 9 am on Monday.
